Programs Preschoolers

Preschoolers (3 – 5 Years)

Curious minds ready for more. Our preschool blends letters, numbers, and nature with projects and play — so school feels like the next adventure, not a leap.

Ready for School, Ready for Life

Preschoolers are scientists, storytellers, and negotiators all at once. Our room is set up for real projects: a reading corner, a maths shelf, an art studio, and a garden classroom with raised beds the children tend themselves.

We teach phonics and early numbers every day — woven into games, cooking, and treasure hunts rather than worksheets. And we practise the quiet skills school needs: listening, turn-taking, zips, and asking for help.

Preschool Questions, Answered

Will my child be ready for school?

That's exactly what this room is for. Local schools tell us Cedarnook children arrive confident, curious, and kind — and we share a readiness summary with you each spring.

How do you teach reading and maths?

Through play: letter sounds in songs and treasure hunts, numbers in cooking and building. No desks, no drills — short daily sessions matched to each child.

Can preschoolers join mid-year?

Yes, whenever we have a space. We pair every new starter with a buddy and a key caregiver, and settling-in visits are always free.
