Our story

A Second Home Where Childhood is Celebrated

For over twenty years, Cedarnook has cared for Greenfield's littlest learners — one cuddle, one story, one milestone at a time.

It Started with a Living Room and a Big Idea

Cedarnook began in 2005 when our founder, a Greenfield preschool teacher, started caring for three neighbourhood toddlers in her own living room. Word travelled the way it always does among parents — across garden fences and playground benches.

Today we care for children across eighteen groups in a purpose-built nursery on Sunshine Lane, but the feeling is unchanged: warm rooms, familiar faces, and days shaped around each child's own rhythm.

We believe children learn best when they feel completely safe. So we keep groups small, routines gentle, and communication with parents constant — with photos, notes, and honest conversations every day.
